Since the rise of handheld technology such as smartphones and tablets, children have been spending more and more time on the internet. This has only worsened since COVID. How can we get young children move involved and interested in the natural world?

Animal Scouts is an educational blind-box that aims to connect young children and teens with the environment around them. The design and concept is heavily inspired by the idea of the Boy Scouts, a group that provides young children ways to explore the natural world around them through hands-on learning in nature.
Each box comes with a crochet keychain of an animal and a corresponding educational brochure of their role in their biome, the food chain, and Georgia’s ecosystems.
